Job summary

Associated Wholesale Grocers, Inc. (AWG) is seeking a dynamic retail operations leader to oversee quality control and procurement collaboration across meat, deli, bakery and produce departments. This role will direct the Quality Control team and work with division and corporate procurement to maintain standards.

You will train staff, build bench strength, and travel to member group headquarters and stores to ensure pricing, inventory, and service level goals are met.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree or equivalent experience in related field.
• Mathematical and analytical abilities for performance measurement.

Responsibilities

• Manage quality control and ensure product standards across departments.
• Coordinate with division and corporate procurement on quality and freshness.
• Train, develop, and appraise staff to build bench strength for promotions.
• Visit member stores and headquarters to ensure merchandising and inventory goals.
