Job summary

America's Heartland Packing is hiring production employees to safely prepare meat using hand tools and knives in a fast-paced setting. Start times vary from early morning, and the role requires standing for long periods in diverse temperatures while adhering to safety and food-safety policies.

You'll work around animal byproducts and maintain high cleanliness standards; training including SQF, GMPs, HACCP is provided. Equality in employment is core; accommodation available where needed.

Responsibilities

• Use hand tools, knives, or equipment to perform job tasks.
• Work in a variety of temperatures: warm, hot, humid, cold, wet or slippery surfaces with PPE.
• Work around animal blood, carcass parts, and unpleasant odors.
• Stand for long shifts on hard surfaces or elevated platforms.
• Knife jobs require good knife sharpening skills to meet production standards.
• Follow all safety and food safety policies and regulations.
• Be respectful of a culturally diverse population and adhere to safety culture.
