Job summary

SpartanNash in Bismarck, ND, is hiring for a meat department associate to work independently to prepare, package, display and stock meat products. You’ll contribute to store profitability while meeting guest experience and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include producing and labeling products, merchandising, rotating stock, communicating tasks and following all safety and cleaning protocols. Prior retail experience and basic math skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail oriented and accurate in tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce meat products according to plan.
• Package and label meat products per program plan.
• Merchandise meat products following flight/merchandising expectations.
• Stock backroom with meat products and rotate dating.
• Notify Meat Manager when supplies need ordering.
• Work with other departments to support store growth.
• Follow PPE, safety and food safety guidelines.
• Adhere to guest experience guidelines.
