Job summary

Carl Buddig & Company is seeking a 1st shift OW Packer to coordinate workloads and support the team in meeting production and quality targets. You will ensure GMPs, HACCP, and SQF compliance, inspect products for defects, and manage packaging, labeling, palleting, and staging processes to prevent cross-contamination.

Ideal candidates communicate well across departments, maintain urgency and accuracy, and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while reading and writing in English.

• Possess a sense of urgency and attention to accuracy and detail
• Capable of managing a variety of tasks simultaneously with rapidly changing priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to work productively and effectively as part of a team.
• Must be able to read and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Implement proper procedures for the Packaging department.
• Ensure GMPs, HACCP, and SQF guidelines are followed.
• Inspect summer products for defects at the de-clipping station.
• Load meat product into film pockets and packaging in boxes per counts.
• Inspect package integrity at the inspection table and ensure proper labeling.
• Palletize per product and review product labels.
• Load product onto cutting equipment based on size and species.
• Keep containers labeled with proper product IDs and prevent cross-contamination.
• Stage product containers with proper lot numbers and species.
• Pack stick products by counts or weight into film pockets and palletize accordingly.
• Stock PPE in designated areas and perform product checks during runs.
