Job summary

Carl Buddig and Company in Montgomery, IL is seeking a General Labor/Packaging team member to produce and package cooked meats for shipment with a safety-minded approach that maintains and enhances a safety culture for the benefit of the Company and its employees.

This full-time, 1st shift position pays $19.00 per hour, with benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Vacation & PTO, Referral Bonus Program, and Tuition Reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Must be safety-conscious and able to maintain a clean, sanitary work area.
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds and perform repetitive packaging tasks.
• Participate in a team-oriented production environment.

Responsibilities

• Load bulk meat logs (up to 30 pounds) into meat slicer at required production frequency levels.
• Perform random re-weight checks of sliced meat product.
• Review and inspect product.
• Place pre-determined amount of sliced meat products into packaging.
• Reject meat product that does not meet specifications.
• Place required number of packages into box.
• Inspect individual packages for proper quality specifications at a rate of 21 – 40 units per minute.
• Ensure that boxes are filled per required levels.
• Place completed boxes on pallet ensuring proper pallet configuration.
• Place empty pallet into position for proper stocking.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area.
• Inspect equipment for sanitary conditions.
• Inspect product for quality and any signs of foreign material contamination.
