Job summary

Kroger is seeking a Meat Department supervisor to plan, organize and direct department associates at our Indianapolis location. You will focus on production, customer service, and adherence to company values while driving sales and efficiency.

The role requires leadership, training abilities, and the capacity to manage budgets and schedules in a fast-paced retail environment. On-site work in Indianapolis, IN with growth opportunities within Kroger.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop maximum customer relations through friendliness and courtesy and implementation of all company policies.
• Keep department temperature logs accurately updated and maintained; train staff accordingly.
• Perform and direct pricing and display of merchandise; manage signage and space allocation.
• Provide input on department budgets, goals and results.
• Train and develop Meat department employees; ensure proper utilization of skills.
• Implement company programs and policies; maintain a harassment- and discrimination-free work environment.
• Make recommendations on hiring, firing, disciplining, transferring and evaluating staff.
• Promote and implement company initiatives and process improvements; communicate to direct reports.
• Demonstrate ability to manage people and organize workloads; supervise performance reviews.
