Job summary

The Kroger Pick ’N Save in Wisconsin seeks a Meat Department Supervisor to train and direct meat staff, oversee production and customer service, and maximize store performance. You will model Kroger’s core values and ensure safe, high‑quality products for shoppers.

This role emphasizes coaching, temperature control, pricing and displays, budgeting input, and implementing company programs while upholding policies and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop maximum customer relations through friendliness and courtesy and implementation of all company policies.
• Keep department temperature logs accurately updated and maintained; train others to guarantee accurate temperatures.
• Perform and direct pricing and displaying of merchandise; maintain signage, rotation, freshness, quantity, quality and space allocation.
• Provide input on department budgets, goals and results.
• Train and develop Meat department employees with emphasis on customer courtesy and productivity.
• Implement company programs and adhere to policies and procedures, including harassment-free environment.
• Make recommendations regarding hiring, firing, disciplining, demoting, transferring and evaluating all meat department associates.
• Promote and implement company initiatives and process improvements to direct reports.
• Demonstrate ability to manage people and organize workloads.
• Supervise and coach direct reports; complete performance reviews and provide feedback.
• Ability to work in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Ability to manage conflict in a professional manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
• Provide support through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
