Kroger’s Irvine store is hiring a Meat department supervisor to plan, organize and lead a team of associates. You will oversee production, customer service, pricing, merchandising and safety programs in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes staff development, performance assessments and adherence to company policies while maintaining high standards of quality and customer care in the meat department.

Qualifications

• Willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to make intelligent decisions quickly.
• Able to handle stressful situations calmly and positively.
• Experience in production, merchandising and customer service related to meat products.
• Understanding of department operations and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, train and direct Meat department associates.
• Develop customer relations through friendliness and courtesy and enforce policies.
• Maintain temperature logs and ensure accurate readings.
• Assist in pricing, display, signage and merchandise rotation.
• Provide input on budgets, goals and results.
• Train and develop staff, conduct performance reviews and provide feedback.
• Support company initiatives and maintain a harassment-free environment.
• Hire, discipline and evaluate meat department staff.
• Manage workloads and resolve issues professionally.
