Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking an entry-level Team Member for the Meat department in Clayton, MO. You will support counter service, stocking, and sanitation, delivering courteous and efficient help to customers and Team Members.

Responsibilities include maintaining displays, assisting with sampling, cleaning, and adhering to health and safety standards while working a flexible schedule. Prior retail experience is not required.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to stand 6–8 hours per shift.
• Willingness to learn product knowledge and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure fresh, appealing display by keeping cases clean and stocked.
• Maintain back stock in good order.
• Assist with sampling areas and keep them clean and inviting.
• Clean cases, glass, signs, coolers, and floors as required.
• Arrive on time, groomed, and ready to work; attend trainings.
• Provide excellent customer service and answer phones courteously.
• Support selling through proper prep, storage, rotation, and merchandising.
• Follow health, sanitation, and safety procedures and report hazards.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work and shopping environment; handle equipment safely.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties; verify pricing and signage.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
