Job summary

Weis Markets, Inc. is seeking an experienced meat department leader to supervise daily operations, ensure product freshness, and deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will assist the Meat Manager with scheduling, inventory control, and merchandising plans, while training associates and maintaining department standards for quality and safety. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in business related or food service-related field desirable.
• Minimum 2 years' management experience in a retail/restaurant/supermarket environment.
• Meat management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee meat department operations and customer service.
• Assist Meat Manager in day-to-day functions of Meat operations.
• Coordinate sales and merchandising plans for the department to ensure proper stock levels and freshness.
• Maintain inventory levels and backroom organization; ensure product rotation and freshness.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and cost-control practices are followed.
