Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a dedicated individual to lead the Meat department, ensuring product freshness, accurate presentation, and excellent customer service. The role includes merchandising, scheduling, and assisting the Meat Manager with daily operations to maintain stock levels and department performance.

The candidate should have a High School diploma or GED, with 2+ years’ management experience in retail or supermarket settings, and preferably meat management experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business related or food service-related field desirable.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in management in a retail/restaurant/supermarket environment.
• Meat management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes excellent customer relations by instilling positive customer focused behavior with associates.
• Takes customer orders over the phone or in person at the store with a pleasant and positive attitude.
• Creates the finished decorated product in timely fashion.
• Ensures fresh quality merchandise by using proper product handling techniques and proper rotation.
• Assists Meat Manager in day-to-day functions of Meat operations including merchandising, scheduling, associate engagement and customer service.
• Oversees department inventories and maintains stock levels to ensure freshness and availability.
