Job summary

Whole Foods Market in New York seeks a Meat Team Member to support counter service, stocking, and sanitation within the meat department. You will assist with display quality, sample programs, and maintaining clean, safe work areas while delivering courteous customer service and adhering to health and safety regulations.

The role requires the ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensures a fresh and appealing display by checking quality, keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked, rotating and removing out-of-date products, filling ice tables, and performing other duties as assigned.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Assists with sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean and appealing.
• Cleans cases, glass, signs, uprights, coolers, smokers, floors, and drains as required.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques.
