Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Meat Clerk in the Meat department. This role provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service, wraps and trims meat, stocks cases, and receives merchandise, while maintaining sanitation and product displays.

The position requires a High School or equivalent, food safety training, and up to 6 months of related experience. It is a non-exempt, on-site role in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent experience; food safety training.
• Six months or less of similar or related work.
• Must be physically able to exert up to 85 pounds occasionally and up to 40 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service.
• Wraps, trims, stocks cases, and receives merchandise.
• Maintains sanitation and organizes coolers, and assists in other areas as needed.
