Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Meat Clerk in the Meat Department to provide prompt, friendly service, wrap and stock meat and seafood items, and maintain sanitation. You will greet customers, assist with finding products, and help with overall department cleanliness in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent with food safety training and up to six months of related experience. The position is non-exempt and on-site.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent with food safety training is required.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service in the Meat/Seafood Department.
• Wraps, weighs, and labels products; stocks cases and maintains neat displays.
• Replenishes coolers and ensures proper sanitation in the work area.
• Adheres to department and company policies, and reports to work as scheduled.
