Clements' Marketplace in Plymouth, MA is seeking a full-time Meat Department Manager to lead all department staff and operations. You will schedule, order supplies, conduct inventory, and ensure proper cutting, packaging, and product quality in compliance with COOL, USDA and company guidelines.

The role requires substantial meat department experience, leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all department staff and operations in the Meat Department.
• Accurately schedule staff in accordance with store business.
• Order department supplies and equipment as needed.
• Conduct inventory and maintain proper levels in the department.
• Maximize sales by accurately projecting the production needs of the department.
• Responsible for cutting, grinding and packaging an assortment of beef, pork, and poultry items using meat saws, slicers, grinders, wrapping machines and knives.
• Maintain proper product assortment, merchandising and product quality on the sales floor at all times.
• Ensure that products are weighed and packaged properly according to COOL, USDA and company guidelines.
• Ensure that product date rotation is followed to maximize product freshness and quality in display cases and coolers.
• Provide exceptional customer service, including cutting special request orders, assisting customers on the sales floor, answering phone calls, and receiving, inspecting and ordering products as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation and food safety guidelines daily, working closely with the Store Manager to maintain department goals and performing other duties as required.
