Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a Bench Department Manager for the meat department. You will lead guest-focused service, manage day-to-day operations, and drive sales growth while maintaining standards and safety.

The role requires supervising staff, planning schedules, and executing merchandising programs. You will partner with stores to ensure inventory accuracy and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have high school education.
• 3-4 years of progressive supermarket experience.
• Ability to supervise people and develop staff.
• Effective communication, guest service, and selling skills.
• Ability to bend, kneel, stand, and lift occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the meat department.
• Achieve budgeted financial results for the department.
• Prepare products for sale according to Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain in-store selling culture and execute merchandising programs.
• Schedule the department and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Train and develop department staff and build a talent bench.
• Ensure departmental sanitation and safe food handling practices.
• Maintain coolers/freezers and conduct weekly pricing audits.
• Own the entire meat department including seafood and coordination with DSD and scan coordinator.
