You will manage schedules, coordinate merchandising plans with the Store Director, and ensure proper receiving, pricing, and rotation of meat products. The role requires strong leadership, inventory control, and adherence to health regulations.

Qualifications

• High school education minimum.
• Ability to read and write to tag merchandise and manage inventory.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret reports and keep department profitable.
• Experience as a meat cutter is preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication with customers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all functions of the Meat Department to meet sales goals.
• Prepare weekly schedules based on projected sales and workload.
• Coordinate local merchandising plans with Store Director.
• Order merchandise and control inventory to minimize stockouts and overstock.
• Receive, price, restock, and rotate meat products per standards.
• Control department expenses and reduce shrinkage and pilferage.
• Supervise, train, schedule and conduct annual reviews for Meat staff.
• Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Maintain clean, attractive department and serve customers professionally.
• Keep required records, reports and biweekly inventory updates.
