Job summary

Puget Consumers Co-op is seeking a Meat Department Lead in Seattle to mentor staff, oversee meat and seafood operations, and support budgeting and product mix. You will ensure sanitation standards, provide mentorship, and help plan department activities.

The role requires a journeyman meat cutter, strong safety awareness, and leadership with reliable teamwork and communication skills. Availability for evenings and weekends is needed.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service.
• Journeyman Meat Cutter with health-safety knowledge and ability to maintain compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide and model excellent customer service and mentor staff.
• Oversee Meat operations: ordering, processing, merchandising, inventory, sanitation.
• Manage department in absence of Meat Coordinator.
• Provide direction, supervision, and coaching to Meat staff.
• Participate in department budgeting, scheduling, and product mix.
