SpartanNash in Carmel, Indiana, is seeking a Lead, Meat to supervise daily department operations in a retail store. You will train associates, maintain staffing, ensure product quality and freshness, and drive productivity in line with company standards.

The role requires strong knife skills, inventory management, and the ability to follow safety and food-handling policies, while contributing to a positive guest experience and meeting performance targets.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent (GED).
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Suggestive Selling/Knowledge of Products preferred.
• Detail Oriented.
• Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, etc.).

Responsabilités

• Lead day-to-day department operations.
• Cut and prepare meats and related products.
• Order and maintain department inventory.
• Review and validate received orders for amount, quality, count or weight.
• Assist Department Manager with staffing, scheduling, and payroll considerations.
• Maintain product knowledge and store-wide promotions.
• Ensure food safety and cleanliness in the department.
• Provide friendly customer service and product recommendations.
