The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Meat Department Supervisor to oversee daily operations, maintain temperature-controlled environments, and ensure product quality. You will lead a team, schedule staffing, train associates, and drive department sales while upholding safety and company values.

Responsibilities include promoting a positive customer experience, implementing promotions, monitoring budgets, and communicating effectively with store management and customers.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Current food handler permit required.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).

Responsabilités

• Promote trust and respect among associates with a positive attitude.
• Communicate department information to associates.
• Establish department performance goals and empower associates to meet targets.
• Develop scheduling to manage customer volume.
• Train associates on performance and participate in appraisals.
• Create welcoming environment and answer questions about products.
• Inform customers of promotions and offer samples.
• Review and inspect products for quality and freshness.
• Develop and implement a department business plan.
• Plan and execute sales promotions with store management.
• Prepare seasonal critiques for sales and merchandising supervisor.
• Assist in budget, expense control, and financial reporting.
• Schedule price changes and plan inventory; train on CAO.
• Maintain proper temperatures and logs in cases and coolers.
• Enforce safety programs and report safety risks or wrongdoing.
