Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
• Minimum three years in Meat Department operations.
• Ability to train department staff and enforce policies.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise Meat Department activities to meet sales goals.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Ensure proper space management based on product movement and profitability.
• Monitor receiving, pricing, quality, and counts against vendor invoices.
• Maintain inventory, freshness, and turnover; minimize stockouts.
• Ensure correct trimming, presentation, and pricing of meat products.
• Rotate perishable merchandise and control shrinkage and pilferage.
• Verify POS accuracy and participate in staff training and housekeeping.
