ShopRite of Hackensack is seeking a Meat Cutter Clerk to join the Meat Department. You will cut and trim meat, assist customers, and maintain a clean, safe, and visually appealing department in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and understand English clearly.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Strong knowledge of safe food handling.
• Lift 35 lbs regularly; 80-90 lbs occasionally.
• Work in varying temperatures.
• Operate Meat Department equipment (band saws, grinders, wrapping machines, knives).
• Friendly, helpful with customers; teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, safe work environment.
• Sanitize surfaces and equipment per QA standards.
• Cut and trim meat according to company standards.
• Rotate products and restock as needed.
• Monitor refrigeration equipment and report issues.
• Assist customers with selections and promote promotions.
• Adhere to safety, QA and health regulations.
• Attend required department training programs.
• Maintain punctual attendance and work overtime as needed.
