Job summary

ShopRite Hoboken is seeking a Meat Cutter Clerk to join the Meat Department. The role focuses on delivering a great customer experience, cutting and trimming meat to company standards, and maintaining a clean, organized department in a fast-paced store environment.

You will handle meat products, assist customers, ensure product rotation, and follow safety and QA procedures. This role requires physical endurance and a customer‑oriented approach within Store policies.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Basic math skills required for handling transactions and measurements.
• Strong knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, and lift up to 35 lbs regularly and 80-90 lbs occasionally.
• Customer service orientation and willingness to assist shoppers.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others and maintain punctual attendance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow sanitation, QA, and safety standards in all tasks.
• Cut and trim meat according to company specifications.
• Rotate products in meat cases and keep displays stocked and attractive.
• Check prices and assist customers with product selection and promotions.
• Operate meat department equipment safely and report any issues.
