Job summary

ShopRite of Garnerville is seeking a Meat Cutter Clerk to join the Garnerville, NY team. You will cut and trim meat to company standards, assist customers, and keep the department clean and visually appealing while following safety procedures.

In this role, you will handle refrigerated sections, operate meat department equipment, and work with others to maintain accurate pricing and scheduling. The position offers physical work in a fast-paced retail environment with emphasis on customer service

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak English clearly.
• Ability to perform basic math accurately.
• Strong knowledge of safe food handling practices.
• Regularly lift 35 lbs and occasionally 80–90 lbs.
• Ability to work with customers in a friendly manner.
• Work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, safe work environment.
• Sanitize all surfaces, utensils, and equipment per standards.
• Cut and trim meat according to standards and rotate stock.
• Assist customers with selections and product knowledge.
• Follow procedures for receiving, dating, storing, and pricing.
