Job summary

Jimbo's in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a team member for the Meat Department. You will assist customers, portion and package merchandise, and ensure product freshness. This on-site role requires safe knife handling and adherence to health regulations.

Must have customer service experience and strong communication. Flexibility to work independently and in a fast-paced environment is essential. Eligible for benefits including medical, dental & vision, 401k, PTO, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience and friendly, outgoing personality.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to understand health regulations and complete Food Handler's Certificate within 10 days of employment.
• Able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Proactively assist customers within our Customer Service Standards.
• Present and package merchandise according to customers' requests to maximize sales.
• Complete preparation of basic meat products (sausages, fajitas, kabobs, peppers).
• Promote featured items and assist customers to find products in-store.
• Handle returns and complaints professionally and refer to Meat Manager when needed.
• Maintain quality by proper rotation and selling fresh products.
