Job summary

Save A Lot Grocery is seeking a Meat Manager/Apprentice to learn and perform meat cutting for retail sales. You will cut beef and pork, package chicken, unload deliveries, weigh and label products, and stock shelves up to 6 feet high.

You will operate saws, slicers, scales, and grinders, while providing customer service and maintaining freshness. Shifts run up to 8 hours per day in a refrigerated environment, with emphasis on accuracy, safety, inventory control, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Pass a pre-employment drug screen.

• Reach & stock product up to 6 feet high.

• Normally work a maximum 8 hour shift.
• Provide assistance to customers and employees.
• Prepare, weigh, package and price product to maximize gross profit, stock, merchandise and rotate product.
• Write work schedules and supervise employees.
• Maintain sales and other written records.
• Perform freshness checks and re-condition product.
• Perform sweeping, cleaning and mopping functions.

Responsibilities
