Shaw’s and Star Market is seeking a Meat Cutter Apprentice to learn the craft of cutting, trimming, and preparing a variety of meat products. You’ll aid in display setup, cleanliness, and food safety while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced setting.

No prior cutting experience is required—just a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and pride in providing quality food that brings people together. This is an entry-level role with growth opportunities in the meat department.

Formación

• Willingness to learn on-the-job training and mentorship.
• Reliable, hardworking, and committed to learning and contributing to the team.
• Basic knowledge of sanitation and safe handling practices for raw meat.
• Friendly and helpful attitude with the ability to assist customers and answer product questions.
• Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in refrigerated environments.
• Ability to follow instructions precisely and maintain clean, organized workspaces.
• Willingness to partner with fellow associates and contribute to a positive store culture.
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn meat department tools and equipment.
