Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is looking for a watchdog apprentice for the meat department in Franklin, MA. This 6-month apprenticeship prepares Team Members for the Meat Cutter role, with duties including meat selection, wrapping, and case maintenance.

You will assist Members, cut and weigh meats, keep displays stocked, and ensure freshness and safety across the meat and seafood sections, following company guidelines.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats is preferred.
• Prior experience working in a meat and/or deli department is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to Members by answering questions regarding meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Cuts, grinds, and/or processes fresh meats. Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Makes sure the meat case showcases all currently available products.
• Ensures the meat, seafood, prepared foods, and cheese cases are fully stocked.
• Rotates meats, poultry, seafood, prepared foods, and cheeses according to expiration dates.
