Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Manchester, NH is seeking team members for the Meat Department. You will receive, cut, wrap, label, and merchandise fresh and processed meats, while assisting in meat and deli areas to meet safety and quality standards.

This role emphasizes customer service and product knowledge in a busy retail setting. This position includes a six-month apprenticeship to prepare Team Members for the Meat Cutter role, plus weekly pay and a variety of benefits designed to support health,

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats preferred.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• Prior experience working in a meat and/or deli department preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to Members by answering questions regarding meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Cuts, grinds, and/or processes fresh meats.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Rotates meats, poultry, seafood, prepared foods, and cheeses according to expiration dates.
• Inspects and stores meat upon delivery.
