Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Carmel, IN is seeking a Meat Cutter to perform cutting, preparation, display, and selling of meat products. You will ensure friendly, efficient service and uphold health and safety standards in accordance with store procedures.

Candidates should have 14+ months retail experience and complete the WFM Butcher Apprentice Program or equivalent training. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 14+ months retail experience.
• Completion of WFM Butcher Apprentice Program or equivalent training.
• UK Exceptions may apply.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, platters, and merchandises products (beef, pork, lamb, veal, poultry).
• Prepares specialty meat merchandise (i.e. sausage, oven ready products, and cured meats).
• Checks product to make sure it meets WFM quality standards.
• Maintains sampling program.
• Monitors and assists in preventing spoilage.
• Mentors and supports assigned Meat Cutter Trainee(s).
