Job summary

Whole Foods Market IP. L.P. is seeking a Meat Cutter to handle cutting, preparation, display, and selling of meat products in Carmel, IN.

You will maintain quality standards, mentor trainees, and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. The role requires at least 14 months of retail experience and completion of the WFM Butcher Apprentice Program or an equivalent training program, with the ability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 14+ months retail experience.
• Completed WFM Butcher Apprentice Program or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, platters, and merchandises beef, pork, lamb, veal, and poultry.
• Prepares specialty meat merchandise such as sausage and cured meats.
• Checks products meet Whole Foods Market quality standards.
• Maintains sampling program and prevents spoilage.
• Mentors Meat Cutter Trainee(s) and supports team.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling.
• Ensures accurate signage and pricing during opening, mid, and closing
• Follows health, sanitation, and safety procedures.
