Job summary

IGA Market in Loris, SC is seeking a part-time meat department associate to provide friendly guest service, assist with prep and display, and help maintain freshness and sanitation. You’ll work with team members to ensure accurate labeling, rotation, and selection of meat products.

This role offers flexible scheduling, weekly pay, and benefits including 401K and pension where available, with opportunities to learn and grow within a family-owned, growing company.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally and 40 lbs constantly.
• Willing to learn multiple tasks and apply standard meat department procedures.
• Effective communication and guest service skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to work in a cold environment.
• Able to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• Previous meat cutting experience.
• Meat cutting skill test qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provides polite, friendly service to all guest.
• Prepares product for sale according to Floco Foods standards.
• Prices, stocks, and rotates frozen and prepared meats and fresh meat case.
• Provides special guest service requests (ie. special cuts, slicing, etc.).
• Maintains sanitation standards in the cooler, sales and prep areas.
• Maintains high quality, freshness and properly dated product available for sale.
• Communicate temperature failures to supervisor.
• Announce meat department sale items on the PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.
• All other tasks as assigned by management.
