Qualifications

• Must have working knowledge of production equipment.
• Ability to portion all boneless cuts accurately.
• Ability to reduce processing costs while maintaining customer specifications.
• Ability to problem solve in trimming and substitutions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, trims, slices, and portions subprimals of beef, pork, lamb and veal for future processing.
• Inspects meat products for defects, bruises, or blemishes.
• Reads and follows customer instructions accurately.
• Performs quality control checks and reports defects to supervisors.
• Separates meats and byproducts into specified containers and seals them.
• Uses knives, cleavers, and other equipment for cutting and trimming.
• Weights meats and labels containers.
• Adheres to company product specifications.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
