Job summary

The Fresh Market in Wilmington, NC is hiring a Meat Cutter to expertly cut and trim meat and seafood to our standards. You will support inventory, pricing integrity, and merchandising, delivering a fast-paced, high-quality guest experience.

Able to work in a busy environment with attention to detail; 2+ years meat cutting experience and 18+ years of age required. Certification within 90 days of hire is expected.

Qualifications

• 2 years or more of experience in cutting meat.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be certified within The Fresh Market's internal training platform within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of department products and assist guests in finding products and meal solutions.
• Handle, slice, cut, and trim meat and seafood per standards; manage quality levels.
• Monitor case temperatures and storage areas for freshness and safety.
• Enforce department practices for receiving, stocking, unloading deliveries; ensure freshness and quality.
• Adhere to safety requirements and food safety policies.
