Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a skilled Meat Cutter for our Florida store. You will cut, prep, display, and merchandize beef, pork, lamb, veal, and poultry, while delivering friendly, efficient service to customers and Team Members.

Responsibilities include ensuring product quality, maintaining sanitation, and supporting training for trainees. The role requires a reliable schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a cold environment.

Qualifications

• 14+ months retail experience.
• Successfully completed WFM Butcher Apprentice Program, or an equivalent training program.
• UK Exceptions may apply.

Responsibilities

• Casts, cuts, platters, and merchandises products (beef, pork, lamb, veal, poultry).
• Prepares specialty meat merchandise (sausage, oven ready, cured meats).
• Checks product for quality and freshness per standards.
• Maintains sampling program and prevents spoilage.
• Mentors Meat Cutter Trainee(s) and supports team.
• Provides courteous customer service and upselling where appropriate.
• Ensures accurate pricing and signage; adheres to safety and sanitation rules.
