Job summary

Food City in Tennessee is seeking a meat department team member to cut and merchandise fresh meat, grind and slice meat, and assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking. You will help maintain display cases, ensure fresh code dates, and uphold HACCP standards while delivering courteous customer service.

This on-site position requires 18+ years of age, physical readiness, and the ability to follow instructions and schedules.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Meat cutting experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Cut and merchandise fresh meat.
• Assist in ordering, receiving and displaying products.
• Grind meat.
• Slice meat.
• Organize cooler arrangement and stocking.
• Rotate products to ensure freshness.
• Maintain neat appearance of display cases.
• Ensure proper code dating on products.
• Keep work area clean and sanitized.
