Job summary

Food City in Georgia is seeking an internship candidate for the meat department to assist in cutting, merchandising, ordering, receiving and displaying products.

Responsibilities include grinding and slicing meat, rotating stock, keeping displays neat, and upholding HACCP standards while delivering friendly customer service. On-site shifts and training are provided in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Meat cutting experience a plus, but not required.
• Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine tasks with daily interaction.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to time policies.

Responsibilities

• Cut and merchandise fresh meat products.
• Assist in ordering, receiving, and displaying all product.
• Grind meat and slice meat as needed.
• Organize cooler arrangement and stocking.
• Rotate product and maintain display cleanliness.
• Ensure correct code dates on products in display cases.
• Keep station neat and area clean; sanitize department twice daily.
• Provide efficient and courteous service to customers and enforce HACCP program.
