Job summary

Food City in Hamilton, GA is seeking entry-level help for the meat department. You will cut, grind, slice, and merchandise fresh meat while assisting with ordering, receiving and display.

Maintain cleanliness, proper dating, and HACCP compliance, providing courteous service to customers. Ideal candidates are 18+, with or without meat-cutting experience, able to follow instructions, and able to work on-site during scheduled shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Meat cutting experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Cut and merchandise all fresh meat.
• Assist in ordering, receiving and displaying all products.
• Grind meat.
• Slice meat.
• Organize cooler arrangement and stocking of cooler.
• Rotate product and maintain display neatness.
• Keep work station and surrounding area neat and clean.
• Sanitize and disinfect department twice daily.
• Provide efficient and courteous customer service.
• Assist in enforcing and maintaining HACCP program.
