Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in California is seeking a Meat Cutter who will receive, rotate, cut, wrap and merchandize fresh and processed meats, including grinds, and assist in the seafood, cheeses, deli and rotisserie chicken areas.

You will maintain sanitation, prepare special cuts on member requests, weigh, label and display products, manage inventory, and ensure signages and promotions are accurate while delivering friendly, efficient service to our members.

Qualifications

• Completion of training program or apprenticeship.
• Previous meat cutting experience.
• Knowledge of wrapping machines.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Cut, grind, wrap, and label fresh meats to company standards.
• Prepare special cuts ordered by Members.
• Ensure meat case and display cases are stocked and rotated by expiration dates.
• Maintain sanitation and safety in the meat department and related areas.
• Assist in other departments as needed.
