Job summary

Food City in Iowa is seeking a dedicated meat department team member to cut, merchandise, restock and rotate fresh meat, grind and slice, and maintain neat display cases.

You will assist in ordering, receiving and displaying products, uphold HACCP standards, and provide efficient, courteous service to customers. Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Meat cutting experience is a plus but not required
• Ability to meet standard physical, mental and visual demands
• Ability to understand and follow verbal/written instructions and perform routine tasks
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts

Responsibilities

• Cut and merchandise fresh meat
• Assist in ordering, receiving and displaying products
• Grind meat
• Slice meat
• Organize cooler and stock displays
• Rotate product
• Maintain neat appearance of display cases
• Maintain proper code dating on products
• Keep work area clean
• Sanitize and disinfect department twice daily
• Provide efficient and courteous service to customers
• Assist in enforcing HACCP program
