Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Meat Cutter to join our Meat Department. You will receive, rotate, cut, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats, including meat preparations for Members, while maintaining sanitation and safety standards.

This role requires completion of a training program or apprenticeship and prior meat cutting experience. The position features a $1,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits, with competitive hourly pay and a team‑driven work environment.

Qualifications

• Must complete a training program/apprenticeship.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages with Members by answering questions about meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Cuts, grinds, and processes fresh meats to company standards.
• Weights, packages, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Rotates meats and ensures display cases are stocked and clean.
• Maintains sanitation and safety standards in the meat department.
• Regular, attendance is essential.
