Job summary

BJs Wholesale Club in Port Saint Lucie, FL is seeking a Meat Cutter to join the meat department. You will cut, grind, wrap and merchandise meats to standard, ensure freshness, and assist Members with product questions. This role requires previous meat cutting experience and an apprenticeship/training program.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages and assists Members by answering questions regarding meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Cuts, grinds, and processes fresh meats to company standards.
• Maintains inventory and ensures cases are stocked.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment and displays in the meat department.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
• Regular, predictable full attendance is an essential function of this job.
