Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Meat Cutter to join our team in Bedford, NH. You will cut, prepare, and merchandise beef, pork, lamb, veal, and poultry while ensuring quality, freshness, and safety. You’ll mentor trainees, uphold health standards, and deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining displays, minimizing spoilage, and supporting store initiatives. Ability to lift 50 pounds and work flexible shifts is required.

Qualifications

• 14+ months retail experience.
• Completed WFM Butcher Apprentice Program, or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, platters, and merchandises products (beef, pork, lamb, veal, poultry).
• Prepares specialty meat merchandise (sausage, oven ready products, and cured meats).
• Checks product to meet WFM quality standards.
• Maintains sampling program.
• Monitors and assists in preventing spoilage.
• Mentors and supports Meat Cutter Trainee(s).
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
