Food City in La Follette, TN is seeking an entry-level Meat Department teammate to cut and merchandise fresh meat, assist with ordering and stocking, and maintain clean displays. The role includes grinding and slicing meat, rotating stock, and ensuring proper dating while delivering courteous service to customers.

Experience in meat cutting is a plus but not required; must be 18+. Training will cover on-site tasks and adherence to safety and sanitation standards as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Meat cutting experience a plus but not required
• Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions and perform routine tasks
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company policies

Responsibilities

• Cut and merchandise fresh meat
• Assist in ordering, receiving and displaying products
• Grind and slice meat
• Rotate and stock products in coolers
• Maintain neat displays and proper code dating
• Sanitize and disinfect department twice daily
• Provide efficient and courteous service to customers
• Assist in upholding HACCP program
