Food City in Powell, TN is seeking a motivated teammate for a Meat Department internship. You will cut and merchandise fresh meat, assist in ordering, receiving and displaying products, and help rotate and stock items.

This on-site role emphasizes HACCP compliance, clean displays, and courteous customer service. No previous meat-cutting experience required, but helpful; must be 18+ and able to meet physical and mental demands.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Meat cutting experience a plus, but not required.
• Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Cut and merchandise all fresh meat.
• Assist in ordering, receiving and displaying all product.
• Grind meat.
• Slice meat.
• Organize cooler arrangement and stock cooler.
• Rotate product.
• Maintain neat display cases.
• Maintain proper code dates on products.
• Keep work station and area neat and clean.
• Sanitize and disinfect department twice daily.
• Provide efficient and courteous service to customers.
• Assist in enforcing and maintaining HACCP program.
