Job summary

Save A Lot - Ascend Grocery LLC is seeking a Meat Cutter in Bailey, MS to ensure the meat department operates to company standards, drives sales, and maximizes profitability by trimming and preparing standard cuts according to the Meat Cutter Resource Manual and delivering top customer service.

The role involves using knives and power equipment, displaying cuts attractively, assisting with ordering, receiving deliveries, maintaining cold chain, and upholding daily sanitation and quality

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with meat-cutting tools preferred.
• Able to lift 30 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Uses knives and power equipment, cuts and/or packages authorized beef, pork, and poultry items according to Save A Lot policies and procedures.
• Prepares and places meat cuts and products in the display counter according to Save A Lot procedures so they will appear attractive and appealing to the customers.
• Assist with product ordering.
• Receives, inspects, and stores meat upon delivery, to maintain the cold chain and ensures meat quality.
• Ensures excellent sanitation and quality standards are met daily which adhere to Save A Lot policy.
