SpartanNash seeks a Meat Cutter to prepare a variety of cuts, grind and portion meats, and maintain accurate product presentation in a fast-paced store environment.

The role requires knowledge of meat cutting, basic math, and careful adherence to recipes and safety guidelines. Strong customer service and teamwork help ensure fresh, appealing displays and a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Meat cutter experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Cut and weigh steaks, chops, etc. for individual servings.
• Produce value-added products per guidelines.
• Cut, trim, and bone carcass sections to prepare cooking cuts.
• Follow recipes to grind and tray meats and make sausage.
• Price, date, wrap and bag meat products per guidelines.
• Rotate and merchandise shelves, cases and displays.
• Notify manager when products or supplies need ordering.
• Receives, unloads, and stocks merchandise.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked department.
• Follow PPE, safety and cleaning guidelines.
• May assist other departments as needed.
