Overview
Meat Cutter and Wrapper at Sam's Club. You’ll cut meat, help with quality, packaging, and display of meat items for our members. Your attention to detail and steady hand contribute to a quality product and a positive customer experience in the meat department.
Base pay range
$16.00/hr - $23.00/hr
What you'll do
- Be a Team Member: Collaborates with other associates to build a strong meat team; communicates with team members; and being flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas.
- Be an Expert: Demonstrates knowledge of floor and backroom operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and the operation, maintenance, and sanitization of equipment; prepare meat products according to established standards; cut boneless meat products; and maintain product quality standards.
- Be a Techie: Leverages digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; utilize handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools.
- Be an Owner: Maintains operational excellence; keeps work area clean and organized; ensures quality and date control standards for meat products; secures fragile and high-shrink merchandise; eliminates waste; assists members with purchasing decisions; and ensures merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored per policies.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: Acts as an advocate for the department and club by valuing the member experience in the meat area and modeling high-quality service and products; shows energy, commitment, and passion for the work.
- Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; follows Open Door Policy; and applies these in business processes.
- Completes work assignments by using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; identifies priorities and deadlines; communicates progress; and adapts to feedback.
