Meat Cutter and Wrapper at Sam's Club

Base pay range: $16.00/hr - $23.00/hr

Responsibilities

Be a Team Member: Collaborate with other associates to build a strong meat team; communicate with team members; be flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas as needed.
Be an Expert: Demonstrate knowledge of floor and backroom operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and the operation, maintenance, and sanitization of equipment; prepare (e.g., cutting, grinding, wrapping, trimming) meat products according to established standards; cut boneless meat products; maintain product quality standards.
Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage use.
Be an Owner: Maintain operational excellence; keep work area clean and in compliance with company policies; ensure quality and date control standards for meat products; secure fragile and high-shrink merchandise; eliminate waste; assist members with purchasing decisions; ensure merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored per policies.
Be a Talent Ambassador: Model high-quality service and products; exhibit energy, commitment, and passion for the work; advocate for the department and club by valuing the member experience in the meat area.
Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethics by applying related action plans and the Open Door Policy.
Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; identify priorities and deadlines; communicate progress and information; seek improvements and adapt to change and feedback.
