Meat Cutter and Wrapper at Sam's Club

Pay Range

$16.00/hr - $23.00/hr

The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.

Position Summary

Our members love shopping for fresh food at Sam’s Club because we have hard‑working, happy‑to‑help fresh food associates. As a meat cutter and wrapper you will not only cut meat but also take important decisions about the quality, packaging and display of our meat items for our members to eat and feed their families. With a steady hand, attention to detail and a positive attitude you will help sell a quality product and make a great shopping experience for our members.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of business operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, equipment maintenance and sanitization, and prepares meat products according to standards.
• Utilizes digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience and elevate associate engagement.
• Ensures quality and date‑control standards for meat products, secures fragile and high‑shrink merchandise, eliminates waste and assists members with purchasing decisions.
• Models high‑quality service and products, executes basics at highest level, and exhibits energy, commitment and passion for the work.
• Complies with company policies, procedures, and ethics, and uses the Open Door Policy to address issues.
• Completes work assignments by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers and co‑workers, and recommending improvements.
